How to participate in “Wear Red Day”:
  • Wear a red ribbon: The iconic red ribbon is an enduring symbol of HIV/AIDS awareness and support for anyone who has been affected by HIV and AIDS.
  • Wear red clothing: Show your support by wearing a red shirt, hoodie, or any other red item.
  • Host a “Wear It Red” event: Organize a “Wear It Red” day at your workplace, school, or with friends to raise funds for HIV/AIDS services, education, and advocacy.
  • Add a virtual ribbon: Use a virtual red ribbon on your profile picture or email signature to show solidarity online.
  • Fundraise: Encourage friends, family, and colleagues to donate to organizations that support people living with HIV.
Other ways to get involved:
  • Educate yourself and others: Stay informed about HIV/AIDS prevention, treatment, and research and share this knowledge to foster a more understanding and empathetic society.
  • Advocate for policy change: Contact your government representatives to prioritize HIV/AIDS policies and funding.
  • Remember and honor: Use the day to remember those who have lost their lives to AIDS-related illnesses.
