STD Awareness Week

This week is STD Awareness week! STDs or STIs are more common than you think & the only thing that isn’t common about STDs are the conversations we have about them. This week we encourage you to educate, normalize, and hopefully reduce stigma. Don’t miss out on starting the conversation with us by following us on Instagram and Facebook (@lahealthhub).

Here are ways to participate in #STDweek:
  • Talk about STDs/STIs in your community and online

    • To help spread awareness, the CDC has created a toolkit of materials here and general resources like fact sheets, testing & treatment guidlines, prevention methods, and more can be found here.
  • When you spread the word on social media, be sure to use the hashtags #STDweek or #STDAwarenessWeek
  • Attend virtual or in-person events (safely)
