The mission of the SHHP Prevention Materials Availability (PMA) program is to reduce STD/HIV/Hep risk by
normalizing condom use and increasing awareness of prevention behaviors and methods.
The PMA program monitors and distributes information materials and tools (condoms) through
promotional campaigns, recruitment events, and approved local PMA sites.
PMA sites include a variety of clinics, community-based organizations,
gatekeepers, not-for-profit sites (e.g. community centers), and commercial businesses (e.g. beauty shops,
bars, tattoo parlors) in designated high-risk areas.
All materials are provided free of charge.
Patrons are also referred to other existing prevention resources,
interventions and services in their community.
